A candle’s used up but you can’t get rid of the container, because:

• it’s too aesthetic
• you could reuse it...someday
• can't recycle containers without melting out the wax 
• “I’m going to clean it next weekend!”
• tossing nice jars in the trash just feels plain wrong.

Whatever the reason, ultimately you end up with a sooty jar-graveyard that haunts you every time you want to buy a fresh, new candle!

At Parallax we're big on balancing sustainability with the fun of buying nice things, so creating an exchange program for reuse and recycling was the answer.

It reduces:

  1. Waste
  2. Clutter
  3. The guilt of not having the time or energy to reduce 1 & 2.

The hope is if we help free up space, you can fill it with more kindness for yourself.

Here's How It Works:

With every order, you can send us back your used candle containers at no extra cost.

📍 Used jars of ANY brand are accepted, as long as they are made of glass or metal.

1. Add the "Recycling Box" to your cart, in a size of your choice, before checkout.

2. When you receive your candle order, it will come with an additional shipping box and label.

3. Put your used candle jars/containers in the box and stick on the label.

4. Drop it off with the selected shipping partner (USPS, UPS etc), and you're done!
[If you’re in NYC and would prefer a direct drop off, you can add a note in your order]

We'll take it from there, cleaning and prepping the containers to repurpose for our free community giveaways, and/or recycling at our local plant! ♻️
